Inspired Equity Ltd of 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX (company registration number 10228422), known as “Inspired Equity” (or derivatives of) and Inspired Equity Partners Ltd of 925 Finchley Road, London NW11 7PE (company registration number 10246038), also known as “Inspired Equity” (or derivatives of) have established this Privacy Policy to explain how it protects and manages the personal information that it collects. 

1) Consent for Collection, Use and Disclosure 

Your use of the Inspired Equity websites ("Website") and/or your registration for Website products and services constitute your consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Website or services of Inspired Equity. We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When it does, we will also revise the "last update" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Inspired Equity may make new uses or disclosures of information collected from users, such as in connection with an investigation of a breach of an agreement, contravention of laws, an emergency where the life, health or security of an individual is threatened, the collection of a debt or in compliance with the request of a law enforcement agency or a court order, and in such circumstances, this Website will not inform and obtain the consent of the user prior to such change. By submitting your information via a web form, you are giving consent and agree to receive emails, phone calls and or text messages about the meeting for which you registered, invitations to upcoming meetings and workshops in your area, special promotions, offers and other Inspired Equity updates. We may email, call, or text message you based on the information that you have provided via the web form or in person at a meeting. Your data will be stored in Mailchimp, a password protected database only accessed by authorised company personnel. If you make a purchase from us, your data will also be stored in Mailchimp with password protected access to authorised company personnel. We do not sell your information or data to any 3rd parties or share your data with any outside parties without expressed consent or interest via email. 

A user may withdraw his or her consent for collection, use and disclosure at any time by sending an email to privacy@inspiredequity.com to unsubscribe. You may also unsubscribe to any of our online email updates by following the unsubscribe instructions in the body of any email message. Please note that, if you do, this Website may suspend its provision of products and services to you. 

2) Accountability 

Inspired Equity collects certain "personal information" (information that personally identifies you) which may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, home or work address, telephone number, and information about your computer hardware and software (e.g. IP address, operating system, browser type, domain name, URL, access times, and referring web site addresses). 

We have implemented this Privacy Policy to protect personal information received from its users, and to respond to any inquiries. The Privacy Policy also provides that we will use appropriate contractual means to establish a comparable level of protection for personal information which is sent for processing by third parties on our behalf. 

Inspired Equity has designated responsibility for your personal information to its Directors, who ensures compliance with the principles in this Privacy Policy. Other Inspired Equity individuals may be delegated to act on behalf of the Directors. 

3) Purposes for Collecting Personal Information 

Inspired Equity collects and uses personal information for the following Identified Purposes: 

  • to understand user needs regarding Website services; 

  • to develop and provide our website and our products and services for our users;

  • to fulfil your requests for products, services or information;

  • to communicate with users and site visitors, when necessary, and to inform users of upgrades, as well as of other products and services available from us, its affiliates and third parties;

The Website also uses personal information in an aggregate form (i.e., not individually attributable to you) for its business analysis, operational, marketing and other promotional purposes. 

If we hire other companies to provide some products or services on our behalf, then we will only provide those companies the personal information they need for the Identified Purposes, and we will limit their rights to use and further disclose your personal information as appropriate in the course of their work for us. 

4) Limiting the Collection of Personal Information 

Inspired Equity limits its collection of personal information to only that information which is necessary for the Identified Purposes. Inspired Equity does not direct its site to, nor does it knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of sixteen. 

When you visit the Website, a cookie may be placed on your computer or the cookie may be read if you have visited the Website previously. If you choose to not have your browser accept cookies from the Website, you may not be able to view all the text on the screens, or to experience a personalised visit, or to subscribe to certain service and product offerings on the Website. For any “contact information” that is requested on a Site, failure to provide the requested information will mean that the particular feature or service associated with that part of the Site may not be available to you. 

5) Transferring and or accessing your information outside of Europe 

As part of the services offered to you through this website, the information which you provide to us will be transferred to countries outside the European Union (“EU”). By way of example, this may happen if any of our servers are from time to time located in a country outside of the EU. Your data is stored in password protected cloud-based software only accessible by authorised company personnel. These approved personnel do live and travel outside of the EU, therefore accessing your data while not located in the EU. These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the UK, however your data is not stored, or hosted in these countries as the data is only available via password protected cloud services through Mailchimp. By submitting your personal data, you are agreeing to this transfer, storing, accessing or processing. If we transfer your information outside of the EU in this way, we will take steps to ensure that appropriate security measures are taken with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in this Policy. 

If you use our services while you are outside the EU, your information may be transferred outside the EU in order to provide you with those services. 

6) Disclosure, Processing and Retention 

We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to anyone else, except: 

  • to someone you have designated to act as your agent, for one or more of the Identified Purposes (listed in Section 3, above); 

  • to Inspired Equity employees, independent contractors, subsidiaries, joint ventures, affiliates, consultants, business associates, service providers, suppliers and agents, acting on our behalf for any of the identified purposes; 

  • as necessary if Inspired Equity has reason to believe that disclosure is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference (either intentionally or unintentionally) with Inspired Equity rights or property, other users of the Website, products or services, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities; 

  • to respond to judicial process and provide information to law enforcement agencies or in connection with an investigation on matters related to public safety, as permitted by law, or otherwise as required by law.

In addition, as we continue to develop our business, we or our affiliates may sell or buy other businesses or entities, or we may merge with another company. In such transactions, personal information may be one of the transferred business assets. Also, in the event that Inspired Equity or substantially all of its assets are acquired, your personal information may be one of the transferred assets. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States, or in any other country in which Inspired Equity or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities. By using this web site, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country. 

7) Accuracy of Personal Information 

We will use reasonable efforts to keep personal information accurate for the Identified Purposes, and for minimising the possibility of making inappropriate user decisions based on such information. Users are responsible for informing Inspired Equity about changes to their personal information. Inspired Equity will use new or updated personal information it receives from users to update its own records. 

By accepting this privacy policy, you are acknowledging that your data submitted is accurate and up to date to the best of your knowledge. If you are submitting data on behalf of someone else, i.e. if you are registering a guest for an event, you acknowledge that their data is up to date and have been given consent by that individual to submit data on their behalf. 

8) Security Safeguards 

Inspired Equity will use commercially reasonable efforts to protect user's personal information. 

9) Access to Personal Information 

Inspired Equity will afford you a reasonable opportunity to review the personal information in your file only, upon request to Inspired Equity at privacy@inspiredequity.com.

If Inspired Equity is not able to provide access to some aspect of a user's personal information, it will provide reasons for denying access such as: that by doing so would likely reveal personal information about a third party, or that it is confidential commercial information or attorney/client privileged communications, or that the information relates to a breach of an agreement or a contravention of law, or that its disclosure could reasonably be expected to threaten the life or security of another individual. Users have the right to request that inaccurate or incomplete information be amended as appropriate, by contacting Inspired Equity at privacy@inspiredequity.com. Inspired Equity will promptly correct such personal information. 

Users have the right to deletion of their personal information. If a user would like their personal information deleted, they should email privacy@inspiredequity.com. When a user's account is terminated, personal data such as the users email address, phone number and birth date will be deleted, but Inspired Equity may retain and use your personal data as necessary to satisfy any legal, accounting or reporting requirements, showing transaction history with the company to resolve disputes or to enforce our agreements and rights. In line with this policy, we will either securely delete or make anonymous your personal data so that it cannot be linked back to you.
